We feel at home at medievial markets and feastings as well as on the concert stage.
At the markets we often astonish our audience because we continually change instruments and with our songs and stories we take the listeners back into other times and places. Just like the goliards of days long ago, we wander around the market places and through the taverns without being bound to one location. Nobody is safe from us when the atmosphere is cheerful or coarse or when the serenade for the fair maiden fills the air.
Every season we expand our program with songs according to the year. In 2010, this will be songs and stories of the Nibelungs. And we take you with us on a musical journey around the world in the Middle-Ages.
When we play on the concert stage guitars, bass guitar, keyboards and drumset complete the sound and create the very own sound impression of the group. Just like the instrumentation this mix is continued in the arrangements (all of them written by Joseph Stengel especially for the group). Mostly based on medieval melodies with partly new lyrics and familiar harmonies, the lot can best be circumscribed as medieval folk. But there are also the instrumentals from the Renaissance, the archaic music like it sounded at medieval markets and the rocking influence of our young band members.
